How is Jericho? The previews piqued my interest, but I havn't gotten around to watching it yet.

How is Jericho? The previews piqued my interest, but I havn't gotten around to watching it yet.

The show feels "cheap" all around, from the lack of polish on the storyline, to the at times questionable direction, and so on. It also has some real issues with pacing, either going through things too fast or too slow.

That said, I love "end of the world" stories, so I'm really enjoying it. So long as you don't go in expecting it to be of a quality level of, say, a Lost, then it can be fun to watch.


Oh, and Lost was awesome tonight, especially the first few minutes. But dammit, this show needs to not have so many commercials, and it needs to not be only one episode per week.

It did seem like an inordinate amount. I thought maybe it was just me.

Episode was ok. I'll save the complaining for later, even though it took them the whole hour just to eat.

Agreed about the commercials. But really, this is the first non-DVD TV show I've watched in forever, so I guess I've been spoiled.

And yeah, the episode was pretty average. Season 2's opener was definitely better.

On tonights episode:It's a "Jack Flashback" episode.

So, at the end Juliette calls Henry "Ben". Seems to either not like him or not like what she's doing to/with Jack.

It's very clear Sawyer and OthersGuy (can't remember name) are in some sort of zoo enclosure. It has to be pretty large gauging by the aviary Sawyer passed on his break for it. The polar bears were once in the cages Sawyer and OthersGuy (later Kate) are in. Sawyer gets a fish-biscuit.

Henry/Ben has Kate wear a dress and eat breakfast with him in handcuffs. Benry tells her "The next two weeks will be very unpleasant." Later: Kate is crying and has fairly severe bruising around her wrists when Bearded-Other put her in the cage across from Sawyer. Sawyer gives Kate his fish-biscuit.

Jack is in some sort of shark/dolphin aquarium called 'The Hydra', which is revealed to be another station. Juliette is briefly captured by Jack when bringing him food. Jack gets her into the hallway and Benry runs away as Jack opens a door that floods the room with water. Jack is knocked out by Juliette after this. Later: Juliette has a 'report' on Jack's life: Where he went to medical school, and how long it took him to finish; what hospital he worked at and what kind of surgeon he was; that he was married once and contested the divorce; he was traveling from Sydney to bring his father's corpse to LA; that his ex-wife's name is Sarah and she is "Happy".

Speculation: Jack had already told Juliette about his father. He didn't tell her he was a surgeon (not exactly a secret though) or that he was married (also not a huge secret). Some of this information could have been gleaned from Kate (possibly why she's bruised and crying?), but still doesn't explain the specifics of his schooling. Kate is a tough chick, so that she's clearly upset and hurt is somewhat troubling...

Anyone else? My hand hurts right now.

I hate TV shows on TV.

I don't know how I'm going to be able to wait a whole week between episodes, and I sure as shit know I can't handle commercials, so I just wated until later in the night to download it (I don't have Tivo )

QFT. My woman was going to kick me off the couch because I couldn't stop bitching about how bad the commercials were.

Decent episode only made decent by the opening. Next week's episode seems a lot better.
