Worst. Purchase. Ever.

A bunch of bad Saturn imports - wanted to try out some good ol 2d fun, but ended up paying way too much for mediocre trash. KOF 96, bubble symphony, Samurai showdown 3-4, and vampire savior come to mind. Atrocious load time in the KOF, and i couldnt get into the other fighters at all. Sure, theres alot of good saturn imports, but theres ALOT of bad ones too.

Wait, are you saying you disliked the games, or the Saturn ports? Because honestly, the Saturn ports weren't bad. Load time on '96 wasn't fun, but it wasn't horrific, and unless you were planning to get a AES cart version, you weren't getting better load times from anything else. SamSho3 and 4, again they weren't cart versions by any means, but they as well weren't bad ports.

I mean christ, compare the Saturn SamShos to the PSX release of 1+2. Now THAT was just sad.

???? I do't know about you, but I don't really look at the character designs all that much in UT. All I see is one of the best(argueably THE best) FPS ever. .

Destro777 you have some great games in your worst ever list.. trying to be different isn't always cool.

My list was more of regretfull purchases and buying into hype more than WORST EVER purchases. I got kind of carried away. I never bought something of "Virtual Boy" caliber.

I disliked the Saturn ports and what I stupidly paid for them. I expected better i guess for their price. I loved the arcade games. I guess thats why the neo geo orginals are so expensive. I never played the psx revs.

Well considering I majored in computer animation, this is definately something I look at, in Deathmatch FPS especially. I remember UT and quake3 came out back then at the same time, I barely played UT of how shitty it looked, especially compared to quake3. Stupid reason? maybe, but its my opinion.

That's probably the worst kind of purchases. When you buy a sequel, you blindly assume that it will be AT LEAST as good as its predecessor. When its not, its like a kick in the nuts.

and talking about crap Sega CD games, it's worth mentioning the super hidiouse Sewer Shark, i only liked it for one back then, and that is to show it off what my Sega CD can do

I liked Sewer Shark at the time, especially when the guy started calling me "Exterminator." Nowhere near as good as Prizefighter, but still an entertaining FMV game for its time.

I don't quite understand you. You seem like a logical person and you make some good points, but your approach to criticism is wholly destructive.

It’s true that the "OMFG!!! GTA RockzZz!!!" crowd exists, and some are blind followers who can't differentiate good games from bad. But there are also many objective, rational thinking people who have made very detailed and relevant critical arguments as to why the GTA games are worth playing.

Yet you simply disregard these people, spouting statements like “you'll have to settle with knowing that you're completely wrong.” Why is it so hard to consider other people's opinions, yet respectfully disagree? Saying, "You're wrong," robs your writing of all journalistic integrity.

You've lost the ability to be objective, the cornerstone of journalism. Honestly, you sound just like Diffx. You might as well write "OMFG!!! Teh GTA SUxors!!!!!!!!!!" and be done with it.
