I just don't understand how you could consider fighting games dying, they do seem as strong in releases, new games, ect. as they ever have. Fighting games had a peak at SF, and then dropped with the american arcades. They seem to be on an upturn after that drop though. As far as the serious fighting game scene goes, it seems to be continually growing, which is good news. Isuka is like user map settings in Warcraft 3/starcraft. Some of them are really fun, interesting new uses of the engine and ideas previously stated, but it really can't compete with the masterpiece of variety and balance provided by the base game. I really enjoy isuka, but its really a totally different ballpark from standard fighting games.
