    It's a good thing they don't make a shit bit of difference. Republicans historically do better in absentee ballots, and Kerry is going to need some huge percentage to overcome the lead.   2. I understand why Kerry is delaying, because the DNC considered Gore's concession as way too early. He doesn't want to have a shadow of a doubt. I don't harbor any illusions though, another four years of shit coming down the pipe. Apparently though, Americans overwhelming want it, so I guess whatever happens we have only ourselves to blame.

    I agree with your point, toxic, but I will say that I have seen a significant reduction in the taxes I pay under the combination of the Bush Presidency and the Republican Congress.

    The doom's day dumbasses are just irrational, though we've known that since they started posting.

    Enjoy it while you can. The taxes you'll have to pay when our economy caves in from the astronomical debt those tax cuts largely created will have you paying way more in the long haul. Not that I think Kerry (or anyone) could dig us out of that hole, but he at least gave the impression of concern for it. Bush said he's going to try to increase tax cuts which only digs us deeper. This "live for the now" attitude his administration has proliferated is gonna completely F our nation UTA in the near future.

    The only bright spot is that Bush is for the Fair Tax plan, but that's a total pipe dream, the transitionary costs for converting from the current system to that will scare off the government and any business that bases their decisions on short-term profit (read: pretty much all of them).
