EDIT: All I will say is that I'm so tired of politics, being so attentive to them for the past six to nine months, that I personally won't care again until four years from now. I don't care what happens anymore; let us get what we deserve.

Lastly this. I really fear for the Democratic party and what this will lead to for them. All the extremely Liberal Dems will say "I told you so!", seize control of the party, and things will go downhill from there.

Or I can be wrong, as I have for all of the elections I've voted in so far (2000 Presidential Election, 2001 NYC Mayoral Election, 2004 Presidental Election).

    Quitter.

A couple of things to note about this election.

    1) The 18-25 vote was much lower than expected (at around 15%, or about 1 out of every 10)

    2) Bush won the popular vote with a high voter turnout. Usually, high voter turnout benefits Democratic candidates

    3) The surprising #1 reason why many Americans voted for Bush according to some exit polls was not for the economy or even terrorism. It was morals.

I'm not happy with the outcome, but that's that. I just hope Bush implements policies to reduce the deficit, gets us out of the Iraq fiasco, and doesn't try to overturn Roe v Wade with his Supreme Court justice appointees.

  3. I have not heard Kerry concede. "White house aid says" is the headline on all sites I have found (CNN.com, etc.). Call it denial, but too many people listen to bullshit and believe it all. As it stands, 254-252....

I'm not gay and no one wants to marry me anyway.

Other countries are, however going to become more advanced in medical sciences than the U.S., especially with stem cell shit.
Without health insurance I'm pretty sure stem cell medicine is out of my budget.

The war will eventually end, and Iraqs president will be best buddies with America giving us a sweet deal on oil.
    Lower gas prices for me.

Other countries will still resent the shit out of us.
I can't afford to leave the country.

At least one terrorist attack will occur on American, nothing to rival the scale of 9/11.
    Not in a blue state.

That's how I'm dealing with this.

No they don't. America is built up of large groups of people, and large groups of people never know which direction they want to go in. One of my friends got enrolled in police training a few months ago and was shipped to a fairly small town, where people were voting because they 100% truly believed that one of the candidates would ban the Bible in America.

I'm not saying Kerry or Bush should've won, I'm just saying that most of the people who voted aren't bright enough to vote in the first place.

  6. I'm glad he didn't drag it out. That said, I'm gonna one up Burg and cry under my bed.

Congrats to the red folks. I hope you were right.
So I forced my hands in my pockets and felt with my thumbs and gallantly handed her my very last piece of gum.

Apparently, America knows which direction it wants to go in, and despite my being completely opposed to it, the people have spoken and theres nothing we can do but accept it and try and make the most of it.
I only hope that jaded feeling people are feeling now doesn't turn to outright voter apathy. There are elections every year, and while this presidential election was very important, the local elections are even more important because they have a bigger effect on our daily lives. It would be a shame if all those new registered voters don't participate in their local elections.

personally i think it'll go the other way, the democrats will say, well going left with kerry didn't work so lets try this republican light and move to the right.

Kerry wasn't a leftist but the liberal tag stuck.

Forget about all the issues for a second and just take the time to realize that our president, the man who represents the United States, barely knows what the Internet is. I can only assume that world leaders across the globe watch that clip and just laugh their asses off.

I hope I'm not the only one who finds this embarassing.
Well that's like, your opinion, man.

  10. gods help us if he tries to pass legislation in the morality of the internets.
