I'm tired of hearing "oh, the uneducated hicks won".

Hey, guess what? If I had my say, most people wouldn't be voting. But that goes both ways. My whole family voted Kerry and they didn't have a lick of reasoning behind it other than "war for oil".

The "college educated" vote was something like 48% Bush / 52% Kerry. So much for the "hick" factor, that's pretty close.

Forget about all the issues for a second and just take the time to realize that our president, the man who represents the United States, barely knows what the Internet is. I can only assume that world leaders across the globe watch that clip and just laugh their asses off.

I hope I'm not the only one who finds this embarassing.

An "internet" is merely a network which bridges two or more distinct networks. "The" Internet just happens to bridge far more networks than any other internets in existence.

This wasn't a close election, Bush won the largest popular vote since Reagan

Clinton (both times) and the elder Bush won the popular vote by larger numbers and higher percentages.

Nah it'll Jeb Bush/Giuliani vs h. Clinton/someone else mark me.

Apparently it is possible to have shittier candidates than the ones we had this time.

I'll bet 80% of the people on these boards have tried illegal drugs, myself included, so that's a dumb measuring stick.

Yeah, but how many of them imposed stiffer penalities on drug offenders when they were elected governor?

Bush's stance on drugs is what alot of parents go through. From recreational user, to strict anti-drug stance. For good reason. Life experiences show you all the bad things drugs can do, and you don't want others (your friends, or your children) to suffer.

I would rather take advice from someone who has taken drugs, then someone who has never taken them at all.

If that advice amounted to "Go to jail" I sure wouldn't.
