By the way, if you wanna be cool, you have to play while obeying these four rules of coolness:

• Do not use Rocket Launchers.
• Do not use Plasma Swords.
• Do not use vehicles (in fact, when you seem them un-manned you should destroy them).
• Do not use dual-wielding.

Apply these four basic rules to your Halo 2 play, and you will do your part to make the game suck less ass.

Mark Ryans first three rules aren't completely worthless, and god knows if everyone followed them the game could be interesting. But no dual wielding? WTF? It's not like it's hard to find a second gun, it's not as if everyone can't be dual wielding at the exact same fucking time and it's not as if a good player can't still win with one gun (god knows I've done my fair share of it).

People with codes of ethics shouldn't be playing video games.

Regardless of the game you are playing online, the mark of a good player is the ability to learn where and when to use the tools that are available, and how to develop methods to counteract those tools in enemy hands. If you want to bring your SMG into a Rocket fight, that's your choice, but you should probably hive a reliable anti-rocket strategy to fall back on unless you plan to become a martyr very quickly. It's commendable that you choose to die for your own principles online, but if you expect other people to give up spme of the coolest weapons the game has to offer, you deserve every frag you eat

Yes, Halo 1, where balance isn't perfect but it's sure a helluva lot better than this.

I do everything I can to win in fighting games, because the fighting games I play have a ton more consideration put into balance than Halo 2. I'm pretty sure they didn't try at all to balance Halo 2.

I don't care if other people dual-wield, but playing Halo without grenade play is just boring as shit. It's also not rewarding at all to come up to a guy that's just spawned and pop him with a plasma pistol/SMG combo, over and over again.

Dude, any time anyone ever says anything on a video game message board, you can rest assured that it is their opinion coming through, without the need for a "I feel," "In my opinion," "I believe," etc. Yes, it is true even for me--if I say that Halo 1 is an infinitely better game than Halo 2, you can go right ahead and know in your heart that it is just my opinion. Sometimes, for the sake of your heart and others, I will bother to type out "In my most humble opinion," but in the case that I don't, you should learn that it doesn't take an edited post to make a statement an opinion.

I just drop my second weapon when I'm going to use grenades then pick it back up when I'm done. Especially in ivory tower when guys are coming up the ramp with the overshield.
