I believe you, it's just weird. I spent literally 6 hours playing by myself (no pun intended) in multiplayer, trying every type of combination possible, and I saw absolutely no difference in head shot's than say shot's to the lower part of your body. Try for yourself, it's really weird.

Above all else, I would assume the Magnum would drop someone in a few hit's with the head, but it just didn't work that way for me. I'll spend some more time on it later today.

The extra damage done by head shots kicks in after the shield is down. One magnum shot to the head kills when the shield is down. That is why the plasma rifle & Magnum are a good combo, Start in with the plasma for a second before unloading the mag on their head. If all your shots connect, the shield should be broken by the end of the mag's clip & you will get your head shot.

You can tear down their sheild even quicker with an SMG/Magnum combo, just pump them full of magnum and smg rounds right when you see an enemy, and they will be long dead before you need to reload the magnum. Normally it takes for me 3 or 4 pulls of the trigger for the magnum, along with SMG fire, before they are dead.

You didnt miss much, about five hundred 16 player shotgun slayer matches on the smallest maps. Easily the worst time I've ever had playing this game.

Shotgun seems to require no skill to get a kill with. I dont get it. It's a great weapon to have when you're up against a sword or doing defense in CTF, but if everyone has it, it's just ridiculous.

Not to mention that it was Team Slayer with kills set to 50, each match took about 2 minutes. I couldnt get into a groove, and I felt unsatisfied at the end of it. I now know what my girlfriend must feel like.

It's so true! Which is why I hate playing 1CTF on Lockout. Regardless of a players skill, they can basically just stand in that bottom room w/ the grav lift, or right near the flag with a shotgun, and mow most people coming for the flag with reletive ease. Then when they kill you they are like "haha you suck n00b", then you snipe them.

Yeah, seriously. If one of you guys kills me, it's funny and I don't care. If some stranger (and there are only 3 groups of people on Live: ghetto thugs, rednecks, and children) kills me, AND I have to hear them say something, I come close to snapping.
