Thread: Not Wanted

  1. That's not true at all. But when people have frickin stupid rationale...no, you shouldn't get to vote. On either side.

Nah, actually, now looking back, it's clear that the best move for the Democrats would have been a John Edwards-Dick Gephardt populist ticket. That Edwards-Gephardt ticket would have mimicked Bush-Cheney (less experienced but appealing president, skilled policy wonk behind him to make sure things stay on the level), would have appealed to women, to poor people, to regular democrats.

No offense but you've got a messed up head and also probably a small penis. You're running a double standard there. A child is a consequence. You'll blame a woman for having sex outside of marriage but then you'll give the a free pass because he wants to live a life.

Wait, what am I talking about? That's hilarious.

No, that's not how it works. I think this generation has totally fucked up morals (lack of morals) and is so disrespectful to their own country it's unbelievable. Even though I disagree with their attitudes, I can understand where people are coming from when they say they don't want to fight a war (nobody wants to die). What you're saying is that people have to have a good enough reason to vote and there's nothing more anti-Democracy or Republic than this train of thought. Who decides what a good rationale for voting is? You? Okay Kim Jong, live in your castle, sit on your thrown.

No, that's not how it works. Voting is a right you get as soon as you turn 18. There doesn't have to be a reason. I could vote for George Bush because he chokes on pretzles and that would be justification enough. I'd be ignorant for doing it, but that's another matter.

God even Hitler was voted into office. He was a genius with propaganda, but they voted.

    How?

Kerry/Edwards won the 85% of the liberal vote and 55% of the moderate vote. They got killed in the conservative vote (85% for Bush/Cheney), who comprised 36% of the total (5% up from 2000).

That's what made the difference in this election.

I don't think an Edwards/Gephardt ticket would have boosted turnout among liberals any more than Kerry/Edwards did. This was a partisan election, not a race to the middle like 2000, and I don't see how any other Dems besides Bill Clinton could have fought this battle any better.

No, it's parents for me. They are good atheists, they believe in the sanctity of marriage.

I agree. I am all for getting youth out to vote, but these fuckers go all about it the wrong way. Fuck pop figures getting behind a vote. The youth will mobilize when we see the politicians actually focus on matters that are important to our future.

  8. Mike, I've never had a problem with anything you've posted, but this topic is fucking lame.

Get a Livejournal or get over it. Reading this whiney, rant puts you down from a solid poster to a Ballsack With Feelings.

This country should not be rewarding people to be human Xerox machines.
It doesn't matter how certain gays feel about the issue, all that matters is that this isn't a civil rights issue. I feel everyone should give me money because I rule, that doesn't make it my civil right to have everyone give me money.

Regarding abortion, it's not a clear cut yes or no issue for most people that have a problem with abortion. It's a matter of circumstances and how far along the pregnancy is. Most pro choice people feel the same way, they're just afraid that putting restrictions on abortion would open the floodgates to getting rid of it entirely. I don't know anyone on either side of the issue that has no problem with partial birth abortion, for example.

You're being silly with your comments about deadbeat Dads. If you don't know that a woman is anti-abortion before you blow a load bareback into her, you're a deadbeat already. That's the real abortion issue, most people are disgusted by abortion being used as a form of birth control. That's where morals come into the discussion, abortion wouldn't be such an issue in the first place if people were responsible about who they fucked and used birth control.

But does everyone get money if they rule?
