Oh, I mentioned that to him, and apparently I "just didn't play the game long enough", even though I sunk 6 months into building an awesome character for nothing.
And please Yoshi, tell me how SWG's PvP is in anyway fun? Hardly anyone does it anymore, the bounty hunter system is a big fucking joke, the Galactic Civil War is an even bigger joke, and Frostwolf nailed the other points. The bounty hunter system and the GCW could have been extremely awesome PvP elements, except that they are failed to utilize them properly. Not to mention they really need to tone down the number of credits you can get in those missions, the game's not so hard when I can just buy my way through everything.
Though, as I usually mention, if SOE actually gets off it's ass for once and delivers at least the combat rebalance, i'll resubscribe and give it another shot. They've said they are planning for it in janurary, so I'll just have to wait and see.
EQ 1 had a couple of PvP servers on it, and I'm fairly confident that EQ 2 will get some in time as well.
Plus, hurray for EQ 2 having real quests, and hundreds of them at that. If there's one thing I hate in MMORPG's is the "terminal quests", which are the same 5 variations, with a few enemies, at a spawning point. Anarchy Online and SWG had them, but I'm glad they went with the more FFXI way of giving quests.
I'll make a character on Guk soon, after I get through the rest of these noob quests on Mistmoore and get to level 10.
