Ok, so I'm level 10 right now.

Please someone tell me that there are HUGE lands to explore, and I don't have to ring the fucking bell everytime to go to a place that's filled with 200 people all hunting the same stuff, and not talking.

I was expecting something like FFXI / SWG, instead I got "here's a town, ring a bell, go to this area, ring another bell, etc etc". I like big open lands to explore, I want to go from town to wilderness to town, and not have the game just take me there.

I'm seriously considering ditching this and moving on to World of Warcraft, I didn't expect EQ 2 to be like this at all =/

There are huge areas, you can only take the boat to a few places outside of Freeport... I've been exploring and I've seen tons of different areas and I really haven't seen that much given the size of the lands, probably not even 1%

You don't have to ring the bell and take the boat if you don't want to, I hardly ever use it... you can just walk out the gates and explore

the forest ruins? go through bubbleshire. anyhow oscath is no more, i hated freeport too much, a quibble i have with good/evil areas in games are that they try to hard to make the evil are evil, they seem silly and over the top, i had the same complaint with the sith academy in kotor, they are 2 dimensional, i can see reasons someone who is basicaly good would go under the wing of lucien's percieved power, but no storytelling effort is put in that, its just arr... we are evil, come and be evil too. kind of disspointing. As for kertix, he hit level 9 last night, i am loving being a scout, "tracking" makes missions a breeze, if you are in the same zone, it makes a glowie trail to the target, its almost cheating the damage is ok, if you set up the sneak attacks right, i can see it being slow for teaming with people due to my lack of relative damage, but right now its golden.

Um yeah.. antonica and the commonlands? ARE FUCKING HUGE. It's incredible.. I spent over an hour travelling and gathering stuff from one side to another.

I got level 20 Warden last night, and "Protector of the Forest" spell ^..^

I'm getting more into crafting, it is actually a lot of fun I agree and I like it much better then Final Fantasy XI's since there is a lot more interaction during crafting.

im just hitting level 12 predator with kertix. wolf, you still in freeport, or did you do the betrayel mission? Im still looking to see any qeuynos based tnl'ers to come along with, i am seriously chomping at the bit for the frogloks to get released, i want a froglok paladin!

To be honest I haven't really thought about that yet, I might do that but if I do I want to finish up some more quests in Freeport before I do... my main focus was getting to level 20 and getting Warden from the start

Ok. I'm a level 15 Dwarf Warrior who just defected from Qeynos and I'm working on getting to the commonlands to complete my betrayal quest and move to Freeport.

I think I'm going Beserker at 20, but we'll see.

Give me a /tell in game if you want to group or whatever.

Is anyone still playing this? I am debating picking up a StationAccess pass, which would give me EQ, EQII, Planetside, EQ:OA, etc. access for an additional $6/month.
