Early bidding on popular and hard to find items does nothing but inflate the price.

btw Ragnarok, the same exact thing has happened to me twice, most recently with a complete copy of Alisia Dragoon --kinda slept through my alarm 'n missed the auction by like 30 seconds. That really blows!
el dodo, you hit it right on the head bro.

Many, many times there was and item for auction that would end either when I'm at school, work, or asleep and I would have to place a bid on it beforehand. And more often than not, I'd guesstimate about 80% of the time, either the auction would be jacked high and very close to the max amount I bid, or I'd just be outbid alltogether.

But when I snipe, I win the auction most of the time. Not only that, I almost always do so at a cheaper price than if I would have entered in my max bid beforehand. I would have been just as angry this morning if I placed a bid last night and went to bed and when I woke up after the auction had ended, I was outbid. When it's something I really want, I snipe it if I can, because I have a much higher rate of success of not only winning the auction, but doing so at a lower price.
    omg TNL epics!

    Damn straight, m' man!

  3. My condolences about your alarm clock.

    Better luck next time Red.

  4. That sucks...

Especially because of the item's uncommon-ness...

Next time make sure you're on the computer during the last hour or so of the auction...!

Better to be safe than sorry...

  5. that's why were up so early this morning.

  6. I'm 90% sure I could find you a copy in Osaka - I know where one should still be located - but you wouldn't like the price. ^_^

What did the game end up going for on ebay, BTW?

Oh, don't worry about the price, Shidoshi, I know the game ended up going cheaper than it usually does in that auction, and as long as it wasn't INSANELY high, I would definitely pay you to grab one for me. I really appreciate the offer, if you were serious, thanks man ^_^
