I pray to the gods that the blue flames shooting out the back aren't some form of turbo boost. That'd be a good way to shit on Ridge Racer.
it is infact, NOS![]()

I concur with this Boo. The game looks amazing none the less, but Ridge Racer is all about drifting and handling the turns, not saving your ass at the finish line with a turbo boost. But i'll have to play the game first to make final judgement, because the game looks like visual candy.
Barf! Barf! Barf!
Next thing we'll hear is that the game features "new and improved AI that drives competitively, based on how well you're driving!"
Well seeing that I have not played it yet, I can't comment on the blue flames. As of now I don't think it has anything to do with Boost (NOS)...
Take the worst looking screenshot, which isn't bad looking at all, and that's what the game looks like. There are 3 videos floating around, 2 races and a replay and, yes, it does look as good as the obviously non-CG screens indicate.Originally Posted by remnant
Really the only game being brought here is Ridge Racer, and again I ask why is RR the be-all end-all game that will determine whether you buy a PSP or not. No one has played it so it could control like crap. The framerates may be terrible and glitches could be all over this but the decision here is mostly.
" Its pretty, Its portable ,so am picking it up."
I still want a comparison between 2 first party games. Not 2 games that are not system sellers and one that didn't have only 8 months in development. Looking at games like Mario Kart and Asphalt GT proves that RR has bad graphiocs and of all the DS power seemed to push none of it.
