Thread: Mario Baseball

  1. If you check Nintendos history they have made only one loss in the entire companies history. I don't know about you ,but a company with only one loss on record is not going anywhere. They have a small market share but enough to stay compeitive and the GBA is the biggest money maker in the industry.

So Nintendo does not make mature games. Okay ,but when they try you don't buy them. Eternal Darknes and metroid have sold very little cnsidering they are mature. So if 2 mature games are being outsold by kiddy games like Sunshine and SSBM then why go mature. That would just be throwing money away to please the haters

Ack, I'm almost the opposite (except regarding Smash Bros & Waverace). I'd go so far to say that Majora's Mask is possibly the best game Nintendo's ever made in fact.

Actually, it's only a loss for one quarter in their entire history. They've never made an annual loss.

Yes, because I was being 100% completely and utterly literal when I said that. What kind of douche are you that you don't understand hyperbole?

There are too many people that like it for you to be right. That's all there is to it. Gamerankings (as I have said before) is not a perfect means to measure a games worth, but it is by far the best tool available. I can argue with you about what me and my friends think based agaisnt what you and your friends think, but that won't prove anything. Gamerankings provides the largest sample of reviews and impressions available, it's not perfect, but it's the best there is.

I feel almost exactly the same way with N64.... But I didn't even like Mario 64 or Mario Kart. I think those 2 are the most overrated series/games. I rather play Super Bomberman multiplayer over Mario Kart MP any day of the week.

I am only keep my N64 for Tetrisphere.

I think Animal Crossing might be Nintendo's worst game this gen although I don't hate it. I think it was great in concept but quite tedious in execution. At least Nintendo tried something new with it though.

I'm the kind of douch who doesn't have to resort to name calling when I'm dead wrong.

Well, GameRankings also ranks The Sims 1&2 ahead of Animal Crossing, not to mention both games have far outsold Animal Crossing. So by your own criteria, AC most certianly is not "the best there is".

I can agree with that, the social component would be what makes it interesting. Hopefully they can retool it and focus on that for DS.

Apparantly you don't have to resort to proper spelling either.

When did I say Animal Crossing was the best there is? Did I ever once say it was better than the Sims? No, I said it was a good game and something new for Nintendo. Two things that you have yet to show are untrue.

Stop trying to prove things I never said wrong and stick to the subject at hand.

  9. I actually laughed out loud at that one.

    Owned.

But really, when remnant says Nintendo has gone too far, it's time to stop and take stock.

How is this game going to play, anyway? Does each team have a skeleton crew of Nintendo characters? Do you have to pick each person? Could you have 2 Marios, one in each team?
