Thread: Mario Baseball

How is this game going to play, anyway? Does each team have a skeleton crew of Nintendo characters? Do you have to pick each person? Could you have 2 Marios, one in each team?
    Here's how I think it'll work.

I posted the initial 18 I think will be in, plus a few hidden characters.

Teams are just going to be those 18 plus an extra 3 switched around. I highly doubt Nintendo is going to go through the effort of making unique teams, when they can just the stock Mario characters and mix and match.

I'd imagine you'd have to pick each person, and some would play better in different positions than others.

This is just going by the screenshots, and how Mario Golf and Mario Tennis were laid out.

You don't like Nintendo, but dislike them enough to bother with spreading their news? Or am I missing something here?

    *yawn*

I don't like baseball, and chances are Mario and co. won't change my mind.

i dont know your meaning of innovative.....but to me none of those listed associate with that word to me. especially Halo 2.

Their platforms are selling less than ever, and their big franchises are selling less than ever. Their market and fanbase is shrinking. This will not change until they actually start to make games to appeal to more people... and let me tell you, fucking Mario Baseball isn't gonna do it. All they make now is fanservice.
I like more mature games as much as the next guy, but the simple fact remains that kids still exist. Personally, it's nice to see a company that still acknowledges them as a market, when it may be cooler to ignore them. I mean really, you want more mature games, you're more than covered by every single other freakin' game maker on the planet right now. Just because kids are a shrinking demographic doesn't mean that everyone should stop making games for them.

Wow, all this debate over a stupid Mario Baseball game. You guys are such dorks.
I took all your French Toast.

    Sure it does.

  8. While I haven't played Animal Crossing, jarrod for the most part, is a pretty reasonable poster who backs up his shit but I still think his Metroid Prime take is dead wrong. I didn't even continue arguing with him on that anymore since it was just futile.

Anyway, Mario Baseball? Hmm.....quite an odd combo.

I got thinking about this and I think, instead of having like two teams consisting of the 18 core characters, maybe they should bring characters from the various Mario-related spinoffs.

For example, Wario's team can contain the entire cast of Wario Ware (any of them would be 100x times better than that lameass Waluigi), Donkey Kong's team would consist of Donkey Kong Country characters (as much as I hate the series, I know it has it's fans), Bowser's team could consist of the Koopa Kids and so on.

Unfortunately, Nintendo are probably too lame to think of this idea.

That would be so awesome, especially the Koopa Kids team.

And you hush up, Waluigi rocks.
