And because, as I've stated for the third time in this thread, Nintendo is the company saying there's a lack of innovation in today's games.
Nobody else.
Because they have no third party support. If their games don't bring something different to the table, there's no reason at all to buy their console.Originally Posted by remnant

Couldn't it be argued that the GameBoy Camera influenced the EyeToy? Weren't there mini-games you could use with it?

Yes it could be argued, but if we are going to argue that we might as well just say that the Gameboy camera was influenced by an actuall camera and get the whole thing over with now.Originally Posted by Jeremy
I'm only referring to gaming applications for the gaming-based cameras. No need to get snippy. And yeah, I'm aware of the irony of me saying that today.

Here's my solution to the whole sony/ico/innovation question:
before ico? Otostaz
after ico? DJBox
Glad that's settled. Back to Nintendo being self-contradictory.
This is the extent of Game Boy Cameras gaming.
You take a picture of yourself. It crops it into a circle and you watch yourself juggle, and run, and a bunch of other stuff that was fun for about 30 seconds.
They need to bring back GBCamera though..Making movies on that thing was hilarious and fun.
Play Guitar Hero //
Nintendo is deeply engrosed in Japan. More deep in Japan than Sony so if Nintendo says their is sonething wrong with the japanese market then I trust them. Also I dob't remember him saying the same about north america so the stuff happening here has no impact on what he said.
wait. Nintendo has to be innovative to sell consoles? It has sold millions world-wide and most peple on these forums would say that their hasn't been a innovative nintendo game for 5 years so that argument means nothing.
Eyetoy is not a game. The GB camera is not a game. Why the hell did you bring them up. ICO is a game. See the difference?
The point of EyeToy is to play games with it. If it doubled as, say a digital camcorder that lets you store data on your memory card, or a USB webcam (officialy, I'm aware you can use it that way with some tweaking) then I may agree with you. I see it as a gaming tool, not simply a peripheral with multiple uses.Originally Posted by remnant
