Not in the western world. Reread my post.

Because they were stupid enough to try Diddy Kong once and took the results as "People want Mario" rather than "People don't want Diddy Kong."
So I forced my hands in my pockets and felt with my thumbs and gallantly handed her my very last piece of gum.

  4. C'mon, there is no justice in this world. Where is my Mario Rugby? How about Mario Cricket? Or Mario Gymnastics, heck, I am been screaming for a Mario Rock-Paper-Scissor for decades....

    Right. Old new games.

Well that's where CowDisease took the discussion. If you'd like I can list 10 new Japanese series in their place?

Though, come to think of it, the ability to beat the tar out of Mario is something I could get behind.
More likely, Mario would replace Little Mac.

Naw, PunchOut!! is already established as it's own IP, with a pretty faithful following actually. If a new game were to appear with Mario in it, he'd likely just be the ref again. I could see Donkey Kong in there somewhere as an opponent too.

That's one of the mini-games in Wario Ware GBA.

But your point of Mario [keep inserting sports until we have to actually start making them up] is duly noted.

All exciting, all innovative and some edgy in terms of content.

    ...

I don't know how to feel about this Mario Baseball game, though. On the one hand I'm happy Nintendo is trying something new, but then I think for a minute and I realise that this kind of "new" is no different from when they add a new minigame to Mario Party. Yes it's something thay haven't done before, but really it's very much more of the same. Besides, baseball? What the fuck?

I know I'll buy it, I know I'll probably even like it, but I'm still not happy that I'm getting this instead of Mario 128 or something new and original in all senses of the meaning.
