I saw the trailer. My God, it looked horrible.
I just saw a commercial for this on TV... a live action Fat Albert movie![]()
Starring Kenan Thompson as Fat Albert!! (Which dosen't work at all)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0396592/
And here's trailer: http://justmovietrailers.com/video/4...ailer_300.html
Apparently, Fat Albert and his crew come from out of the TV, into the real world ... Wow. Just wow.
And oh, I mean under and not between on the subtext, I was just so much in shock someone would actually turn this into a movie, and ESPICALLY with this lame ass "made for tv" plot.

The television one, or the internet one?Originally Posted by animegirl20
The one I put up is an extended version, which details the movie's plot.
The television commercial made it look ok, the internet trailer destroyed any hope I ever had for this movie to be good.

This movie would have been great if they let Trey Parker and Matt Stone extend the Fat Albert stuff they did on South Park.
Quick zephyrs blow, vexing daft Jim.
This probably would have been ok if they weren't turning it into the typical "goofy/70s/retro world meets 'real'/modern world" spoof junk. The scene in the trailer where they "Ohhhh" at the pop tabs on soda cansor the "taking off the mask" scene with the Good Charlotte dork make me cringe. So annoying, like we haven't seen that a million times. The only good part in the trailer so far is the 'Cos himself appearing. The crappy thing is I read on various sites that Cosby fought the premise for this movie (animated characters jumping into the real world) for a long time. Looks like whatever compromise they came to wasn't enough. Yecch. And the director Joel Zwick has the um, career of diretcing such greats as Step by Step, various WB sitcoms like Kirk, and um. Yeah. Joel Zwick. Hmmmm.
That was the greatest part of the trailer. But it looks so bad, they needed Bill Cosby to give it some life, but even he can't pull that movie out of the slumps.Originally Posted by Klonoa
