  2. I don't agree with this post, but I can sorta relate to it. It's silly though.

1.) it's old and well-worn out genre. Sure, you can say the same for fighters and puzzlers and other games, but I think they've done everything they can do with this tired genre.
FPS are pretty varied and flexible as a genre. They've pretty much settled into a specific style of control and all, but apart from that it's really diverse. Half Life 2 is nothing like Painkiller which is nothing like UT2K4.

2.) It's too popular. Every sum-a-bitch from casual gamers to wanna-be army brats (Sorry MercX99) play it, and that seems to be all they play *cough*Counterstrike, Halo*cough*
Do you play the audience or the game? This is total elitist nonsense.

3.) Controls are messed up. MadCatz trackball/flight stick combo for DC was perfect for these games. I just don't like using a keyboard/mouse. Regular controllers are even worse.
You may or may not have been aware but there are many many excellen flightsticks and trackballs for the PC. I won't play a game with a mouse. The Logitech Trackman Marble Wheel is the single greatest pointer ever. Get one if you game on the PC.

1.) I'm not a huge enough sports nerd.
    Totally relateable point.

    2.) It's a non-gamers genre.
again, don't worry about everyone else.

3.) If you wanna play sports, join a team.
If you want to fight a war, join the army. This works for any non-fantasy game.

  3. Man, I can already tell he's going to come back into this thread, and go "haha guys, I was just kidding, I have nothing against these two genres, just being funny!!!"

  8. I'm fine with FPS games, but I generally don't like sports. Too much of your performance is left to probability rather than skill, and that is homo.

Is that a disclaimer you want on all of diffusionx's posts regarding video games?

The Panther Stick! I wanted one of those for so long but never got around to actually buying one.

"This is true statement"? I dunno, be creative.
