Thread: Your favorite music/rhythm video game of all time and why

  1. Gitaroo Man hands down. I've been playing it for almost 3 years now and it hasn't gotten old yet.

Takio is fun but it's too easy to call the best ever. But it is the best one to get chicks who never play games to play at a party, they love games that they can do good at.
Currently Playing: Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster (PC), Let's Build a Zoo (PC) & Despot's Game (PC)

  2. Taiko was the worst music game until Donkey Konga came out.

Uhhh...I don't have a favorite anymore because I stopped playing these things a while back. So if I had to pick, it would either be Pop'n Music 11 or Pump it Up Extra with Beatmania III: The Final and DDR 3rd Mix Korean Ver.2 being runners up.

Since...forever? I think you might have me confused with the rest of SoCal. I'm the one that actually likes Pump. Granted, everything past Extra mix is shit (See: Anything remotely dancable replaced with Pink, Get the Party Started) but it's still a good game.

  6. Drummania. Good lot of songs, especially "Centaur" by Jimmy Weckl.

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)

  7. I went to that big arcade down in Atlantic City a couple of years ago and these white kids were on the machine jamming to Park Ji Yoon music.

    Pump It Up.

    Beatmania/IIDX/III.

Because "it's what started it all" (in terms of arcade music games and non-simonsays gameplay at least) and dumb shit like that counts a lot for me, personally.

  9. If Dangun Feveron counts, it had some major style back in the day.
