No one has a problem with their site. Their forums are full of way too much gay though.
And that's not saying gay in a derisive way. It's really gay there. Seriously.*huggles*
Could someone please tell me why GN is so maligned? A lot of well-standing members of this very board are contributing, Ammadeau in particular is doing some top-notch stuff for the site. It's been updated quite frequently since it launched. And, not to toot my own horn, but the site is sleek, minimalist, uncluttered, and fast-loading, a welcome rarity in the gaming website rolodex.Originally Posted by The Dave
Look, I'm no shill for the site, I feel just as much a part of TNL as I do GN, if not more. I'll definitely be the first to say GN has its flaws... but I fail to see where anyone can paint it as a BAD site. It's frequently updated, it's got original stuff you won't find elsewhere, it's got decent (and recent) reviews... IMHO it's pretty impressive for a site that's only a few months old.
I get the impression a lot of you are bashing without giving it a chance, trying to perpetuate a rivalry that really isn't there. GN isn't trying to topple the TNL empire. It's no more a competitor than any other gaming site out there.

Those "wierd" interviews are obviously in thanks to Ali, who recently became aware of this thread but isn't able to respond directly due to his forum account status. He notes the following:Originally Posted by youandwhosearmy

For those who aren't familiar with his background -- Ali works as a freelancer "who works for print and even TV and gave those interviews to TNL because TNL and I go back" [to its earlier years operating online].
To be perfectly honest, TNL had little to do with it.
It's nice that you're defending Ali. The only thing missing is where anyone was attacking him. Anyone who reads TNL knows that Ali is the man and we all appreciate him and love him and no one's trying to take away from him.Originally Posted by bahn

As I said, Ali's forum status prevents him from responding directly. Not that I have no objections in defending them if there was a need for it.Originally Posted by Kano on the Phone
