Could very well be. But I think the tone of the two trailers was very different.

Well, both scenes occured right after it looked like the trailer was over. I mean, if Kuwabara is supposed to be Thunderbolt's lover, why would he have to grab his nuts? Wouldn't he be familiar with them allready? If that's not a joke scene, I guess their relationship will develop over the course of the game?

My thoughts exactly.

Although, the "squirrel gripping" does have some signifigance. Remember in MGS2, President Johnson did the same thing to Raiden and then acted suprised that Raiden was a man. Now... I know President's are horny ... but do you think that even Clinton would instinctively greet women by giving them a good crotch grab? Remember President Johnson knew a lot about the Patroits; maybe the Patroits are eunuchs or have "Prince Albert's" to show their membership?

BTW, "Kuwabara kuwabara" is the Japanese equivalent of "Touch Wood" or "Storm, Storm, go away, come again another day", not the name of "Raiden".

My thoughts, from bahn's ill advised side-thread:

Yeah, but the video made it seem like it was the first time they met. Maybe a flashback? Even if not, it could very well be the first time they meet. Also, the dialogue was something akin to "Hm. [ball grab] I think we might be able to use him." That sounds to me like there's going to be some he/she Mata Hari espionage going on (you know, female spy feigns love interest to get her work done; in this case male-who-poses-as-female). That could mean Raidenovich or whatever his name is might have a larger part in the game than people have speculated. Seems likely considering that line being pretty much the last thing in the trailer, that way Kojima doesn't give too much story away. OMG! Raiden's dad is Snake's mom!!

Acccording to the following site, Japan will get the game a bit earlier on October with a Premium Package edition (no surprise there) in addition to the standard barebone game.
