Gamespot gave it an 8.7. This review makes me even less excited about the game. I am definately not picking this game up today

EGM gave it a 9, 9.5 and 10. I trust them more than Gamespot.

8.7 is bad? bizzare

At any rate, pointless review scores aside, a more critical reason to skip it would be the horrific fear of it repeating the storyline antics of MGS2 :P

At the same time, there is a certain sick sort of draw for exactly that reason.

From what I have heard and read, the story is the best the series has seen.

Yeah, I dont really care about review scores, but I wont be picking this up until it it gets down to 20 dollars. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Yeah but you have HL2, I don't.

Because of that MGS3 is looking pretty sweet right now.

Gamespot gave Half Life 2 a 9.2, I believe. They don't know what the fuck they're doing over there.

I'll wait for TNL impressions, as usual, since that's all I trust anymore.

I'll wait, too. I want to know if MGS3 is another convoluted "computers runs the country" patriots mindfuck so I can save my forty dollars if this is the case.
