Am I the only person that enjoyed Batman Returns?

I liked Batman Returns AND Mars Attacks.

One thing I'm curious about is what's going to be different in this version. Apparently A LOT of changes were made from the novel when they made the first one, to the point that author Roald Dahl hated the movie and refused to let them shoot the sequel book he had written. Burton and Depp have gone on record saying that they want to be far more loyal to the book.

The tunnel scene in the first one was really creepy, when i was little i used to hate watching that part by myself, I noticed that when that movies on regular cable on tv they cut the tunnel scene part out which i think is a stupid idea. I think the movie has gotten creepier since i was little, it basically kills off the bad kids and keeps the good kid (charlie), although he and grandpa joe almost did get pureed by the fan if they hadn't burped.

I enjoyed Batman Returns. Dolemite is reaching by saying Batman Returns was shitty. Michelle Pfeiffer was hot in this movie (not in the cat suit, not my thing), that about says it all.

Indeed, the aim of this remake is a more direct interpretation of the book. The first draft of the screenplay was written before the author had ever seen the original movie, in fact. However there are definate influences of the first movie. The Oompa Loompas will more resemble the first movie's than the politically incorrect African pygmys described in the book. Also it will be a muscial like the first.
