Yeah, I did my happy dance when Castlevania Ressurection got the axe. As for kicks to the groin.....
Super Mario 64 was a flying elbow off the top turnbuckle to the groin.

Shenmue 2 - Yessir indeedy. I hate having to use a swap disc every time I want to play the game that was dangled in front of our noses like a carrot until the very last second. Bastards!
Sin & Punishment - This is the only thing that pisses me off about Nintendo. They stupidly forget to release some of their best games in the U.S. I was expecting this one to be released eventually, too.
Some things that have bothered me after the fact:
No translation of Policenauts despite being nearly translated, no officially translated Langrisser after the first, and NEC's complete ineptness in releasing games that should've been released here (Dracula X and Spriggan to name a few) and completely fucking up good artwork.
Oooooh, lets see here, quite the list...
The Journey Home: Quest for the Throne (SNES): We go back for this one. This was to be the domestic version of Neugier, the last game the old Wolfteam ever released in Japan before they went under. It was picked up and completely translated, featured in Nintendo's offical Super Nintendo game guide, and even reviewed by Gamepro. For some reason, it was cancelled at the last minute. While the pain has been eased over the years over my being able to acquire the Japanese version of the game and the ROM being translated over the net, this still irks me to today. Still trying to find a beta of this thing, I KNOW there's one out there somewhere.
Earthbound (NES): The original 8-bit Nintendo Earthbound, completely translated by the Big N but never actually released. When one was sold off on eBay, a translation group borrowed cartridge from the owner, dumped it, and released it as a ROM, but that wasn't good enough. Finally, last year, after 12 YEARS of searching, I found my Holy Grail and got ahold of a beta cartridge of the game for myself, which I intend to keep till the day I die and have it buried in my coffin with me
Robotech: Crystal Dreams (N64): One of the reasons I bought the N64 to begin with. Gametek goes under before they can finish it, Capcom, almighty, big-ass game-developer/publisher CAPCOM buys rights to it and shelves it. What was the point then? Yes, the game was barely playable and still needed A LOT of work, but, man, this still hurts
Policenauts (Saturn): I actually e-mailed Konami about this, and I remember the guy who responded to me telling me the game was anywhere from "95-99%" translated but wasn't released because Konami felt it wouldn't be profitable with the Saturn in its death throes. Bah!![]()
Aisle Lord (Sega CD): Supposed to be the end-all, be-all of Genny RPGs, Aisle Lord was famous among the Gamefan staff and was one of E.Storm's favorite import RPGs. It may also be probably the longest and hardest 16-bit RPG ever made, supposedly clocking in at over 100 hours long! SOA picked up rights to this but never translated it.
Sin & Punishment (N64): Yes, the Japanse version is common enough and is already in English, but still, Nintendo even said they were looking to showcase the game at E3 and it was supposed to be one of the system's great swansong titles the same way the Saturn got Panzer Dragoon Saga, SF3, and Burning Rangers on its deathbed. Damn Nintendo for not picking this one up and sending the N64 off on a high-note![]()
omg TNL epics!
- Propeller Arena (DC) cancellation
- Half-Life (DC) cancellation
- Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance moving from PS2 to GBA
- GunBeat (Naomi) cancellation

This game looked sooo sweet. Definitely would've made N64 owners proud.Originally posted by Ragnarok the Red

Why weren't the remakes of PN and Snatcher on the PS released here? Oh yeah, cause 2D doesn't "sell" anymore. Damn 2D haters...
