Has anyone spent much time playing war games - either paintball or airsoft?

I haven't for a couple of years, but it used to be a favorite pass time. Airsoft is better for indoors (doesn't make a mess) but Paintball's better for scoring (you can't lie about getting hit).

My first office job was for a small mortgage co. And before I left, I got access to the building after hours. It wasn’t very big, but it was rectangularly built with a few cross sectioned hallways(in other words, perfect for death match). Irresponsibly, I should mention, I would get my friends to come over at night, we'd spin some techno over the intercom, order a pizza from the Hut, load the guns, then it was on!

I stopped once people started noticing the little plastic b b’s we’d forget to pick up. It was bad (we could have blown a server with the right hit) but wasn't the worst thing to happen to that building (I know there was a lot of drinking, and I think a lot of gay sex) But those were the hay days while they lasted.

Anyway, I actually was checking out an indoor paintball arena near me a week ago. Not expensive at all- $20 to play, $10 to rent equipment, and another $20 for 500 paintballs (you can devide the balls among groups). Looks like fun, I might have to get some people together and have a go.

Beats me. I have no idea what the rate of fire on the guns are. The ones I saw seemed pretty rapid-fire.

A guy like you should know, however, the more balls you can get a hold of, the better.

Ive played paintball a couple of times.

The most recent time I played I came close to getting in a fight with asswipes who cranked their gun to high(It was tearing bark and shit off of a tree I was hiding next to). They nailed my friend and teammate in the face/neck/mask area from behind at close range right after that. We had enough people out there so the fight was broken up and those guys were kicked off the course though.

But besides shit like that it is pretty fun to play. I wont play the speedball type though (two teams run out in a small area and just proceed to shoot the shit out of each other with very minimal cover or anything) as I like the hiding in the woods,tactical, stealth sneaking matches....Unless I'm going against the hardKore Rambo wannabe types who have the paintball grenades,Sniper Rifles, and stuff like that..I dont like being outgunned

I've played paintball a few times before, wasn't impressed at all. I want to try Airsoft one of these days though, hear it's more realistic.
