Seven Force sez: There is so much that reminds you of how Raizing did their later games. The falling medal system is there. The rank system is obvious there. Heck, even the 'bonus birds' make a return!

If Ibara is anything like Battle Garegga / Bakraid, I can only tell you that you'll feel the same way.

Thing is, I liked Bakraid, but HATED Garrega. I know they're similar. but Garrega had alot of bullet visibility problems made worse by all the shrapnel, and some wonky bullet patterns to book and I just found the game awkward and frustrating. Bakraid, on the other hand, leaned much more towards the glowing-balls-of-fire style bullets and less frustrating design and I actually enjoyed it. Ibara looks likeit could go either way.

I do have to admit that if it is strictly an homage, there's something cool about a company paying this kind of tribute to their fallen rival. I gotta respect that on its own level.

But oh man, I will be very jealous if you get the PCB. This game looks like a Garegga fan's dream come true. Not a sequel of course but maybe a "spiritual successor" like Ikaruga was to Radiant?
