I second that, take the word "hardcore" for a long trip to the woods and leave it there.Originally Posted by Dragonmaster Dyne

If DieHard was good for GameFan, Hardcore is okay for us. The only reason they stopped using the name DieHard in their title later on is because Sears threatened them. For real.Originally Posted by Dragonmaster Dyne
What I don't like about Hardcore Gamer is that it sounds a little elitist. However, unless something better comes along, it's probably what we're going with.

Christ, dont even get me started on the Play website.Originally Posted by Dragonmaster Dyne
Play basically freeloaded off of the popcultureshock website for 2 years without paying a dime. They got a free site basically. when the time came for a real deal to happen, Dave disappeared and decided he was going with someone else. Now where is his site?

I don't care for "hardcore" either, but I guess this is something we should be discussing in another forum.

Hardcore Gamer is good, but it sounds somewhat generic. We really need to come up with something that has a bit more personality. What I don't like about Hardcore Gamer is that it sounds a little elitist. However, unless something better comes along, it's probably what we're going with.
BTW, I registered with the link you PMed me.

Hee hee, and they all know how insane I am. When I first started working at gamefan I had this big plack Chevy truck where I cut a hole in the grill and mounted a big red skull that had lights in the eyes that were wired into the blinkers. People kinda thought I was a little nuts.Originally Posted by Mzo
At least you're not going to name your magazine "Gamezilla" as Halverson wanted when we launched Gamers' Republic. The whole staff basically vetoed every suggestion from Dave....thank goodness!Originally Posted by djpubba
