  1. Unleashed

anybody see the trailer for this film yet? never heard of it until i sat down to watch shaun of the dead and it was one of the previews. from moviefone. i cant seem to find an official site but this page has a trailer link http://movies.channel.aol.com/movie/main.adp?mid=20207

"Two men cut off from the world in different ways become unlikely friends and protectors in this offbeat action drama. Danny (Jet Li) is a physically powerful but emotionally stunted man; never given any sort of proper education, Danny has learned little in his lifetime but how to fight, and his minder, Bart (Bob Hoskins), treats him more like a guard dog than anything else, using him in illegal no-holds-barred brawls that earn Bart plenty of money but only reinforce Danny's violent alienation. When Bart is injured in an auto accident, Danny is left to fend for himself, and stumbles upon Sam (Morgan Freeman), an elderly piano tuner who has lost his sight. Sam is the first person to treat Danny with kindness, and the music he plays soothes the troubled soul of the fighter. However, Danny's fighting skills soon come in handy when Sam runs afoul of a pack of small-time crooks who believe he knows too much about their operations. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide"

Yes, I had the thread for this film, and posted the trailer few months ago.

Jesus, there's a link to a trailer and a story synopsis and we still can't post negative impressions to your precious shit without you getting defensive?

  6. Yeah, its my precious shit. Ok.

Sounds like shit, doesnt look like someone actually bothered to even see the preview to make such an great sounding opinion.

    Whatever.

No one expects it to be Oscar worthy masterpiece, but from what I have seen, it looks like a good action movie, with some drama elements. Will the final product to be actually good? Maybe, maybe not. Time will show.

  7. Oh, it could be good, but seriously, read the synopsis and tell me that doesn't sound like shit.

And $10 on the musician being named Sam almost expressly as a setup for someone to say "Play it again, Sam."

  8. Saw the trailer awhile ago, looks good.

Looks neat but it seems like a gross misuse of Jet Li. I want straight up kung-fu chop socky stuff. I hate to say it but Kiss of the Dragon is the closest thing to what I want from this guy (Although I thought "the One" was pretty awesome)

At least he doesn't team up with a rapper and fuck around with Anthony Anderson in this one.
"Chuy, you're going to have a magical life. Because no matter where you go, it's always going to be better than Tucson."

  10. I would agree "Kiss of the Dragon" rocked. This trailer looks promising. It seems Jet Li isn't forced to do more acting than he's capable of (Romeo Must Die), and he does exactly what he's supposed to. Kick everyone's ass and jump millions of feet into the air.

Still, I can never be totally satisfied with one of his movies unless it's old school style--Once Upon a Time in China....
