I pre-ordered this last night at gamestop and the employee told me that you really don't have to pre-order it to get the LE version. He said that Bioware would ship LE versions only for the first 3 months and then after that they would ship the strip down versions without the x-tra's. So as long as you pick up the game within the 1st three months you'll still get an LE version.

Kinda like Mechassault 2.

What did they do with Mechassault 2?

The first run of MA2 is the "Limited Edition" with the bonus disc and the 2 extra maps. Later print runs will not have that stuff, or the shiny metallic box.

I've loved every gameplay video I've seen of Jade Empire. It looks just like it was advertised, a KOTOR type game with real-time combat. Even in the early build they were playing at E3, you didn't see any of the graphical or control bugs you got with KOTOR. The character's movements seemed fluid, the fighting looked fun and not clunky even when switching styles on the fly, it was positively freaking gorgeous, etc. I'm not seeing any of the complaints you had about it.

I played this briefly at "GameRiot" a few months ago, and I won't pretend that the 10 minutes of an early copy that I played gives you any real feel for the game, but I liked the combat.

Game should be good.

I liked the videos, it looks like everything I'm expecting out of the game so far. I think it is kind of chicken shit about the whole LE bullshit, but I planned on buying the game on launch date anyway so this doesn't effect me anyway.

Besides, you're missing the entire point. The point is that they're removing things that deal with the game and the gameplay, not extraneous bonus stuff on the side that doesn't actually affect the game at all.
