You keep comparing it to other shows, like that is justification for its mediocrity. It's not. The show was phenomenal but is on a steady decline. I don't care if it's better than what else is out there. The point is that it's not as good as it was or could be.
But if you are happy with it because everything else sucks so much more, that's fine for you. I guess you look at it as the glass being half full whereas I see it as half empty.
Er, no. Mediocrity /= "steaming pile of shit". I've clearly blasted a few episodes this season and equally clearly said that seasons 1-4 are better. I'm not going to lump this entire 4.5 into "this season has sucked" - because I don't feel that way. It's been up and down with a few really good/great episodes and a few stinkers. I expect a lot from the next two.
Is that the best you can come up with? I'll correct myself from "steaming pile of shit" to "smelly pile of shit" because there's obviously a world of difference. Do you feel better now? Can we talk about BSG, instead?

The fact that there are worse shows out there doesn't justify anything. I don't give a fuck about whether other shows are better or worse. I care that this show which used to be great has failed to deliver thus far.
What exactly have we learned since this season started. Not a fuck of a lot, which means either it'll end with a rushed ending, or it'll end without a lot of shit being addressed.
I was so pissed at the episode where Starbuck played piano with Ghost Dad because the previews of that episode made it seem like they were going to get into her corpse and ship. Instead we got half a show of bullshit. Most of what has been presented this "season" has been bullshit filler.
