Just checked out Caprica. It really felt like BattleStar Galactica Episode 1: The Phantom Cylon (with all the good and bad that comes with that). I'm annoyed that it seems to be abandoning continuity with BSG in a lot of ways. For example, in Caprica it looks like people are about to start creating skinjobs. In BSG, the final five created skinjobs and humans didn't know about them until after the fall. There's also another round of sympathetic portrayals of suicide bombings in Caprica (clearly one of Moore's favorite things, between this and New Caprica). Still, it was nice to hear "frak" thrown around again.

Skinjob Earth was not a part of the Colonies, so those skinjobs were from a prior round of "It's happened before and will happen again."
I mean it was the 13th Colony, but they talked about it as a lost Colony which they couldn't find.
Huh? This Caprica story is supposed to take place just before (30 years or so? 40?) Battlestar.

I think his point was that it's inconsistent with BSG - there was no reference to any synthetic humans or skinjobs (human or cylon) walking around and co-mingling with Capricans. I already don't like the premise. (talking to error, not bbbob)
It's completely and utterly inconsistent as stated, which kills any interest I had in this show.

Amazon has this listed pre-order on Blu Ray for $245. This is exactly whats wrong with the format. I don't want extra discs full of crap I'll never watch. A main point for BRD was the storage space that should have meant less discs for series. So far this isn't the case.
I think the standard DVD set has 6 more discs than the Blu-Ray set.
