i think you need to clean out the switch, it's probably just not making proper contact.
I am a stereotypical chick when it comes to knowing cars - I don't.
So, a couple of times last week when I tried to use my left turn signal, nothing happened. No turn arrows were showing up when I pulled the indicator, and I couldn't see the orange light on the outside. It started working again about an hour later. However, it happened to me again last night. I checked my lights and everything seems to be in order. I just have no idea what the hell that was all about.
If any mechanical savvy people can help me figure out what the hell that was all about, I would appreciate it.
Or I could just do the "right thing" and leave the driving to the men
Any suggestions?

Either the contacts are loose or your fuse is about to blow out?
Thanks guys. I will look into cleaning the switch, I just don't want to screw anything up while doing it.

I think you should have sex.
With me.
Hot damn. That's a better pickup line even than "Take your shirt off and shut the hell up."

Use your arm if it goes out again. Fist extended outward is left turn, raised in the air is right I believe.

Start at teh steering column, and clean the switch. While you are in there check loose wires connected to that switch. If you haven't messed with any car-audio, like running power to amps and such, then the wiring inside the car is probably fine. When this happens do you get no turn signals on the left, or are you losing just one of them?
