That's interesting. I didn't see him in the film at all so he probably did some scenes that were cut and not used in the original film. I wish they had, he could pass for Eddie very well.

Yeah, Eddie's name is mentioned but that's it.

I think you're thinking of Sam Raimi's brother Ted bursting in after Jonah called him in.

And yeah, Eddie Brock was never seen, just mentioned. I kept an eye out, too... if they'd shown him, even for a second, I'd be content in the knowledge that Venom would be in SM3. Sigh.

His name comes up in a conversation between Robbie and J.J.J.

Jonah's bitching that he wants photos of Spiderman and Robbie replies that "I have Eddie Brock (or maybe he just said 'Eddie') on it."

The Villians I'm thinking based on what I've seen in the movie:

1. Hob-Goblin/Green Goblin as Harry Osborn, we see Harry becoming crazy after the unmasking. He sees his dead father and he hears sounds that aren't there. Harry will snap and become the new Goblin, since the green Goblin was used they might have Harry be the Hob-Goblin or might not change a good thing and let him be the Green Goblin.

2. The Lizard: Its seems like it could happen. We see conners in the 2nd installment and he is mentioned in the 1st installment of the Spiderman movies. And since Peter has respect and knows him, that could create the same feeling as the 2nd installment.

3. If they going to create/introduce a new villian that has not been seen prior to the 1st and 2nd movie it has to be Venom. Venom to me is the the best Villian for Spiderman behind GG. In fact I think he's better than Doc Oct.
