Thread: Yoshi's Touch & Go

  1. I like the idea of a game finally making use of the touch screen, but a whole game dedicated to drawing bridges and circles around enemies? I'm just afarid that the game play is going to become stale before the second level. Guess we'll see soon enough.

  2. About as stale as a game devoted to "running and jumping on/over things".

I'm talking about the Diablo like RPG Yoshi was talking about.

Geen every game gets a bit stale doing the same thing over and over again? I think they may be some nice ideas they can put in that game

  4. Touch & Go makes Yoshi Gravitation(on the GBA) look like total shit.

I'm really hoping that I get the same feel from playing this game that I get from playing Yoshi's Island.
    All is well.

Nah, I wouldn't say that. Yoshi's Island was genius from start to finish, and that's just a game where you are "running and jumping on/over thing[s]."
I just have a hunch that with Yoshi being on auto pilot and you being this invisible force that can just draw clouds, this game is going to feel more like Mario & Wario or an elaborate mini-game rather than a full blown adventure game.
Like I said though, I guess we'll see how it turns out in the end.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt that what Nights was all about? [Never played it.] People love that game so maybe this has promise. Sounds new and addictive, I just hope it inst too short.

  9. The concept is fine, the thing that will make or break it is the level design. One thing that could ruin it is a very slow pace where the player is left waiting for the next thing to happen.

  10. The Japanese gal in that commercial is hella pretty.

Looks fun so far, I'm glad they used the Yoshi's Island graphical style other than the YS "rendered" look of tilt 'n tumble. This oughta be an interesting way to increase the stylus fix i need to feed constantly for the Bobomb slingshot minigame.
