we'll try some 3s again for a bit -- but you'll find me more playing Hyper much more often.
Good thing you don't live in Chinatown, NY -- where Ken is the ambassador of the arcade in just about every traditonal edition of Street Fighter.Originally Posted by Clash_Master

Wow. I haven't heard someone use the term "scrub friendly" in fighting games for a long time. Mzo's up on the lingo.
It has been upgraded to simply scrubby nowadays. Like, Ken is mad scrubby, or Sol is a scrubby char. =)

I played someone who totally owned with Twelve. I don't know what I'm doing at all when it comes to third strike and yes everyone picks shotos but i dont care if I'm getting beat by some cheap fuck as long as I'm learning from it.

I just can't hold a conversation and play Street Fighter at the same time. I was talking with JBNagis about getting the Communicator to work with X-Arcade, and next thing I knew, my Ryu was playing horribly while I was stammering and saying "um" a lot. If you're losing against me, just ask me a question. You'll win the round in no time.
Unfortunately, JBNagis had to quit during our Ryu vs. Ken match. I wanted to see if I could come back and win two straight after losing the first round. Still, good times.
Bahn, at what speed do you think it's best to play Hyper online? Turbo 2 or Turbo 3?
Destin, Gibbits - PM me your Xbox Live gamertags or send me a friend invite. I want to increase my pool of TNL SFAC players in my Friends List.

Gibbits, getting your ass kicked, and LEARNING from it is great. I also don't mind getting stomped, as it's usually a good learning tool. I'm really enjoying using Hugo in third strike, he's NUMBA VUN!

I've seen a few people pick Makoto -- but that's usually after they're demonstrated their "skills" with the shotos.Originally Posted by Cowdisease
JBNagis is actually a pretty solid player, I only wish our connection could be a bit smoother.
As for playing Hyper -- I recommend 3, since it offers a bit more speed and excitement. 2 is ideal for those who are looking to have something closer to the average speed many are generally accustomed to.
I am off tomorrow so I hope to catch ya on sometime this evening after 9:30 or so.
I'll play you then, it might take some time to get used to playing SFAC with this shitty third-party pad though, since my S controller is shot.

I was picking makoto for awhile and had a pretty funny mind game doing that dash punch of hers.
I did manage to get at least 1 win last nite (with elena non the less). From what I gather, my main reason for losing all the time must come from my offense game cause it's really leaving me open.
