Thread: Street Fighter Anniversary Collection (XBOX)

not sure how longto heal. er doc said i need to see an orthopedist so he can make sure it's healing right. it's in a fiberglass splint now, and if it goes well it gets casted. if it goes not well i get pins in my hand.

  2. Wanted to bring up the question again of where is a good place to get the ps2 to xbox adaptor?

I picked this bad boy up since you guys are pimping it so hard but since im used to playing my SF2 Championship cab the xbox controller sucks hard.. at least the ps2 is close to the snes where I started.

They're all over the internet. Don't know about where you're at, but in my area pretty much every independent gaming shop has them. But I'll warn you - alot of people say there's an input delay with them, and I think there may be something to that. Mine feels like there's maybe a split-second delay.

sorry for the belated response, I was away on a business related trip in Mass., but I wanted to acknowledge the good games (albeit laggy) a few days ago. hopefully our connection will improve in the near future -- and perhaps we may get an opportunity to play in person. E3 perhaps?

I keep running into jackasses who drop now. And what drives me up the wall is that it's the top players who're doing it to me. I fought some guy who had 600 wins in 700 matches, while I've got like 80 in 200, and I guess it's cool when his Ken takes out my Makoto, but the next round when Oro smashes his Ibuki into pieces? Drop. This happened to me three players in a row, and all three were in the top 100. The really frustrating part is that it doesn't even do anything for them, it still gives them the loss, it just prevents me from getting a win.

I guess their ego can't handle losing to somebody as low-ranked as me, but yeesh - I'm a clean player, never throw, don't turtle excessively, and don't use shotos. How do I deserve this crap? Screw you, Capcom, for not fixing the single most retarded feature any game has ever had...I can't believe nothing's changed from CvS2. In fact, I think it's worse, because now you can drop after the match and the win won't count.

I suppose I can feel good knowing I'm taking down better players, but it's lame not being rewarded for it, and makes me think evil thoughts toward Capcom knowing it'll never be fixed or even noticed.

Welcome back to the CVS2 era from years ago. It's really lame and unfortunately an undying trend amonst newbies (and even some diehard fanatics who are quick to defer to a shitty connection as they're reasons for pulling. I won't deny doing it occassionally back in the day only to conclude how retarded it is for carrying out such an act. Besides, if you lose -- you lose, so what? The rankings don't mean shit anyways. And yes, much like many have lamented on here, SRK, and countless other fighting community boards -- Capcom's failure to address one of the ultimate annoyances in online multiplayer is unacceptable and lame. For that, there will always be a place in my heart that despises them.

You can visit the Hardware thread of the Shoryuken.com forums for that answer, but be careful. Although I read that some adapters won't cause online lag, I've read so many conflicting and redundant posts that it made my head spin.

I found an interesting tidbit about the SF Anniversary Stick - it may no longer be an EB exclusive. EBGames.com recently removed the stick from their website, hinting that the stick has been completely sold out. However, a recent search at Gamestop.com revealed that the stick will be available on 3/31/2005. I hope it's true. I really want to sell my stick with the busted Communicator port and do the Happ-mod on a new one.

  6. Holy crap. Mzo just taught me something:

I am stupid bad at Third Strike. I could use my excuse of taking a few matches to warm up (which actually does generally apply), but he was still reaming me a few matches in.

Still, some of the later matches were great. Wish you could save replays of online matches.

I hope so too, free shipping rocks.

  8. On one hand I really want to pick this up and join you guys. On the other hand I haven't seriously touched a fighting game since SFA came out on PS2 and even that was fairly brief. I've probably lost all the skills I had for fighting games (which weren't exactly incredible to begin with) and that's almost enough to make not want to get back into them.

That's cool, you'll be in the exact same boat as me. Most of the players online are good but not spectacular anyway. There isn't a whole lot of Genei Jin juggling or Makoto 100% going on. I've (thankfully) only come across a few people doing that annoying unblockable Aegis Reflector stuff.

If that's your impression I may be seriously misrepresenting myself. I'm mediocre at best.
