In the article the main guy(whose name escapes me)claimed he loves making 2D games better but him main priority now is to make a great 3D CV?!?! Not really sure I can agree with that crap.

No it didn't. It was an absolute bomb in terms of it being a game in the Castlevania series, and it only earned the Greatest Hits seal because it was rereleased.

I think that's mostly because very few developers really attempt platforming in first-person, not that they're not capable of it. Jumping Flash was fun.
