Trip came up with the idea of making one game and selling it ten times. It worked with NBA and NFL, but not so well with Army Men.

I thought he was pretty much bought out, of his majority share of the company and left.

He sold the M2 to Matsushita for $100 million. Id say he's pretty fucking smart. Smarter than just about every other businessman in the industry, and definitely smarter than anyone posting on TNL.

How much money did he spend on the 3DO before selling to Matsushita? I'm sure that 100 mil wasn't all clean profit. He also churned out one crappy Army Men game after another, tanked the 3DO company and whined like a little bitch about "fragile egos" and GamePro not favoring his turd of a game.
