Thread: Final Fight - SegaCD vs Arcade vs X68000 (NeogeoMan look!)

Actually, the enemy missing was Rolento (being that he was the boss of Stage 4). Roxy and Poison were simply replaced in the localized version, not actually removed.

BTW, anyone else noticed the resemblance between Damnd and Lil' Jon.

  3. Hee, Hee, Hee Mr.Haggar...

  4. The best thing about the Sega CD version was the time attack mode. However, the lack of colors on screen really put me off...as did the soundtrack. It was high quality, yeah, but to me it just lost something going from the hard-edge arcade/snes music to...well...to mostly some pretty much mellowed out jazz shit that didn't inspire me to beat the shit out of anybody at all. The orginal subway music from the arcade version may be my favorite level music of all-time...

I actually enjoy the GBA version quite a bit; pump the difficulty up to very hard and at times there's like 8-9 enemies on screen at a time. And that's all the game is anyway--and enemy management game. Preicise postioning, throws and mastery of that backwards-jumping shit rule the day. The orginal Final Fight may be the worlds first "street thug herding" game.

By the way, anyone who appreciates the series would do themselves a favor to check this out. Itsd being made with the Beats of Rage Engine. I haven't installed it yet...but it looks cool enough...

So true. A subpar AvP conversion after this clusterfuck would probably have been the final straw.

FF's fire level is something I like and hate at the same time. Although the flames can be a pain when 8 bad guys on screen, it's a kick to watch the enemies get barbequed trying to get to you. At any rate, it's one of the cooler levels in the game.

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)

What the hell? Why does Haggar look like Franco Bash from the Fatal Fury games?

This guy's just carrying on the proud Capcom tradition of recycling every sprite you possibly can with the least amount of work possible to get your product done, even if they're SNK characters who wear boxing gloves.

Yep. This confirms that Poison is a she-male after all.
