Naming the Comic Book Guy is a pretty big deal because it proves how low the writers have sunk. They rely on this to bring in ratings instead of just writing a good episode.
Homer's dances are completely out of sink with his old character. At least Homer hasn't exactly been a jerk too much. Seasons 12-14 Homer was pretty much just a jerk.
This is how I'd rate the Simpson seasons:
Season 1- B
Season 2- A
Season 3- A
Season 4- A
Season 5- A
Season 6- A
Season 7- A
Season 8- A
Season 9- C
Season 10-D
Season 11- F
Season 12- F
Season 13- C
Season 14- B
Season 15- B so far, it's been ok.

They named it in that awful Behind the Music spoof episode. Supposedly, they had the narrator do different takes saying a different state each time so they could air different versions during syndication, but I've always gotten the Northern Kentucky one.

That was meant as a joke, the writers have said that's not really their location. Hell, during commentaries Mike Reiss jokes "what planet is Springfield on?", after noting magical weather changes. pixelassassin, season 15 is over, we're now on season 16.
