N64 emulation, on any platform, is pretty wonky shit last time I checked. Sure, you can play Mario 64 fine and well (which is pretty much all I use Surreal for), but don't expect 100% visual perfection from even half the games out there.If anyone here has first-hand experience with Surreal XXX (or any other Xbox emus like, PCSXbox, XboyAdvance, etc) let me know. Tain?
XboyAdvance is pretty good. I know that the latest PC version of the emu had some big core rewrite that slowed things down horribly, and that might be in one of the Xbox ports, but I think the latest Xbox version went back to the older, faster core.
My experience with PCSXbox is pretty limited, though. Tobal No. 2 was slow as balls, Parappa was wayy too out of sync, and most of the other games I tried just didn't run fast enough. ePSXe Linux actually runs under some Xbox Linux distro, and I know there are easy to download packages for this very reason, but I don't know how well it runs. The author of the new generically named "PSX Emulator" needs to make that thing open-source, as I kinda get the impression that it's the fastest, most accurate thing out there, and an Xbox port might be awesome.
Of course, SNES/Genesis/Mame/FBAXXX and whatnot are all great.
