I still want to know if Fist II has an ending. I never beat it if it does.

  2. Shadow of the Beast: I played the Amiga version so many times, but as soon as I hit the level with the Eye Ball like enemies, I ended up dying. There were no continues in this game.

  3. during my younger days, Bayou Billy was quite a pain.

I received this game for my birthday (I specifically asked for it) and was told the same story - complete the game, or no more games. This was mainly due to the fact that NES RPG's were sold at ridiculous prices at the time (I believe it set my parents back about $80).

So I persevered. I struggled my way through that game, and actually came to enjoy playing it. If you ever get the chance to play it, there's several jabs at other Nintendo games imbedded in the game dialogue that are slightly amusing, and it has a plethora of games-within-the-game that you can mess around with. These were usually things I made up to make the game more fun in between dungeons - games like "How Many Times Can I Rob/Kill The Merchant And Outrun The Guards Without Dying" and attacking Lord British over and over again assuming that at some point in time I would be powerful enough to kill him (never happened).

The game is no cake-walk, but it is beatable. I will say that playing subsequent RPG's afterward proved little challenge comparitively.

    - Total agreeance on the Adventures of Batman and Robin. Those that brave that game and win (without cheating) possess teh mad skills and shall be elected Secretary of Gaming under my new regime.

    - Chakan was difficult, but I blame poor game design for my failure to skip across the platforms properly. Not a bad game, but needed a few bugs worked out of it. I think the closest we'll ever get to a Chakan sequel is that new Darkwatch game.

No votes for the DC Ecco The Dolphin game? I flung many a controller playing that particular game, lemme tell ya.

You could have told her you beat it. How would she know wether you did or not?

Where were you when I needed this advice?

I spent so many hours playing that game, I grew to cherish the tinny music of Ultima:Exodus.

    Especially the Ambrosia BGM.

    I don't know why.

Five hours, two calloused thumbs between a pal and myself, and Sagat was still telling us to "Try again, chief!"

Start on the second controler right?

Yeah, I've never beaten that game.

I nominate Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future as one hard nut to crack.
    o_O

The Gamer's Code of Honor I live buy forbade it.

No, I was determined to beat that POS.I made it personal,"What did you call my Grandma, Ultima?Oh, You are so gonna get beat!"

Which is why when I couldnt beat it, I played dirty with the hammer. I actually got to the last castle, and was owned by the final boss. A floor....I kid you not.
That was the last straw in my fragile, juvenile mind.

And yes, Eggroll that sad Ambrosia music is still in my head too.

Honestly, I want to say I did tell mom I beat it, before she bought me another though she found the shattered remains of Ultima in my closet.I dont know why I kept it - guess I figured I'd mangle it some more "Office-Space-on-the-printer-style" later, I dont know.
