Poor Nomar Garciaparra is out for up to 3 months with a groin tear. This is what happened with Mike Piazza a couple of years ago and it took longer for him to get back to the way he used to be..though he is a catcher and has to squat down. So far Nomar's career as a cub is..well...a typical cub career..filled with injuries.


Here's some more news.. a man fell off the top deck of RFK Stadium after yesterday's Braves/Nationals game and is critically injured. He hit railings and ramps on the way down and somehow is not dead.

There's a series in Arlington next month, and a series at Minute Maid the following month. I'll probably go to both.

Mets beat the Nats today with Glavine getting the win. Kaz Ishii goes on the DL..and tomorrow its his turn on the rotation and the Mets have no one set to pitch tomorrow. Lots of rain set for tomorrow so maybe a rainout may happen.
