Thread: Official Thread of the 2005 Season of Major League Baseball

  1. Would be nice for Boston to take 2 out of 3 considering the how poorly the team has played lately..but that fat bum David Wells is pitching tomorrow and he's been a disaster. Too bad they cant move up Arroyo. I'm sure Arroyo on short rest would be better than that fat piece of shit Wells.

  2. 'twas a spanking of the highest order today, and on national tv no less. Renteria is heating up, finally.

  3. Hopefully tommorow night the Yankees "get mad" against Wells and Boston and we can take the series and forget this awful game ever happened.

  4. Hopefully you won't ever win again.

    Ever.

I agree. I just want schilling back so our true rotation can take its shape.

    Schilling, Clement, Miller, Arroyo, Wakefield.

    Thats how it should be.

    Oh, yeah, you too!

And you've got a few months for that rotation to take shape. Not that it matters, Schilling already sold his soul to the devil and won't be the same pitcher ever again.

  6. Well, the Indians swept who might be the worst team in MLB. The Oakland A's. If you play fantasy, it might be time to look over V. Martinez and J. Gerut.

Funny how no one is mentioning what a genius Billy Beane is right now. Baseball has a way of doing that to ya.

  7. The wait for the three run homer beer league approach doesn't quite look as good when you don't have 3 young aces in the rotation I guess. The Red Sox can go straight to the 5th ring and turn left.

Billy Beane isn't trying to win this year, he knows he doesn't have the parts. What he does have is a fantastic collection of young talent that will be winning again in no time. No one is doubting the genious of Billy Beane yet, at least not those who understand what's going on in Oakland. If the As arent seriously contending again in 2-3 years then you can start saying he's failed.

Anyone who believes this is Beane's strategy doesn't understand the way they run thier franchcise. Read Moneyball, you'll be better off.

Curt Schilling can't be any worse than Roger Clemens nowadays. And something tells me no matter what his regular season numbers are, he'll ruin his career before he gives it up in the postseason.

    Well, ruin it again anyway.
