Get over it. You certainly can't expect them to win all the freakin' time, now can you? I'm a fan, and I certainly don't. Go hate on another team.

There is no other team to hate on but the Yankees. Their misfortune is my delight, and the same goes for every baseball fan outside of the tri-state area. The sooner you realize this the better.

Oh, and Steinbrenner certainly expects them to win all the freakin' time.

Never. They just made some bad moves, and what team hasn't?

Well, anyone would expect that if they...oh, I don't know, OWNED the fucking team.

Thats not true, at all. Anybody with any sense of sports acumen knows the ups and downs of sporting. Owners are usually in it to make money, you know. Steinbrenner just has a blind/idiotic/fanatical obsession with victory at any cost. Even though this year is looking to a Pyrrhic one.

Its not an issue of bad moves. Face it - everyone outside of the tri-state area hates the Yankees. In the entire country. This will not change if they get down on their luck. This will not change if they go 162-0 in a season. Yankee hatred is bigger than you or I. Accept it.

I think it's safe to say the Yankees have the worst dollars per win ratio in MLB. They certainly have the worst GM. Steinbrenner is an idiot for not firing that ass.

  6. See, now that I will agree with.

I dunno. there's alot of Yankee love in Tampa.
You would rather have an owner in it to make money rather than win?

Both, but honestly, I think Steinbrenner's win-at-all-costs obsession is what is hurting the Yankees now. Because they are now gonna have to dump all the old players they got now because theyre past their prime, but they dont have a farm system because they traded all those players away to get the old ones, etc. Its gonna get a lot worse before it gets better.

As much as people want to pin it on Cashman and Torre, Steinbrenner is "The Boss". Its amazing how people in charge suddenly say theyre not when their company hits bad times, like Trump who said his casino's money troubles had nothing to do with him.

    Agreed completely.

It's amazing how much stupid money he's wasted in the last few years. The only players the Yankees currently have that can be relied on at all are Arod (postseason still TBD), Jeter, Matsui and, hopefully in a few years, Cano.

The Yanks will not win another WS until 2009+

  10. I like Robinson Cano and though he's not hitting I think he has plenty of potential. I also like Chien-Mein Wang..he's pitched really well..better than some of the starters really. The Yanks should keep them for their future plans though I have a funny feeling they will be traded for some old bum just to help them make get to the world series.
