Andy: Max Payne is in my HOF, Max Payne 2 is not. If you dont like it, TS. Make your own HOF thread.
Both MP1 and MP2 have exactly an 88.9 on GameRankings, and MP2 even has 100 reviews over MP1. The difference is that MP1 was hyped and delayed for like 4 years, where as MP2 was announced and shipped without a hitch 6 months later. And MP3 has already been announced as under development, so hey.Originally Posted by diffusionx

Warcraft 3 does. Represent.Originally Posted by Opaque
Exactly.
The best RTS ever shares an awesome system with the best Online FPS ever. That's no coincidence.
I've gotta side with Diff here. I love both games but the first was just so fresh and original that it holds a special place for me. I think I played through the first at least twice on each difficulty level and loved every second of it. While 2 was great, I had just played the first so many times that I didn't play 2 anywhere near as much since it wasn't a huge leap over the first.Originally Posted by diffusionx

I am actually a bit... supprised at this list of yours. I figured you hated some of these (Tomba! 2 being one). Should I really ask if Castlevania:SotN will make at least an honerable mention?
omfgninjas did you play Starcraft? I like SC:BW better than what I played of WC3 but the later does have a lot of nice features in it like the ranking and matchmaking. I only play 1v1 games though. I personal like the higher unit count in SC much more.
Starcraft just isn't for me because I'm not into the larger scale battles. With the two games, it really comes down to personal preference. I know it has just as much strategy to it, but it really does just feel like a massfest for low to mid-range play, whereas Warcraft 3 has a steep learning curve from the beginning. It's just more interesting having small, slower 10 unit battles and seeing who can better manage their resources and units, rather than having 100 things collide.
I feel as if I've read this list before, but Fur Fighters was on there the last time. And I'll just say what I said the last time: Tomba 1 was better than 2.
They're both good games. The SNES was way easier but it had a lot going for it.Aladdin SNES *and* Genesis?
