Yea the game didn't have much hype, it seems to have spread by word of mouth. They are supposedly showing matrix online trailers before certain movies now. The game went gold right before release also and all the events are usually packed out with players, so this may be one of them sleeper PC hits.
We need bahn to give Opaque a job over there next.

I like the idea for the 'couple day long' Global Events that continue the Matrix story. Sounds like it may have been fun playing through that last one.

Yea I was browsing the schedule and looks like there are some one day events and some more 5 day events.
Last week was pretty fun, because everyday you jacked in something new was going on and it got more intense the later it got.
There was the mad collection of the RSI and fighting hordes of fake agents. The teams that were lagging behind would then have their faction leader start broadcasting to the whole faction barking orders or rally the troups. So you'd have Niobe raising moral or Agent grey harrassing the machines. At one point even morpheus went running around to street corners telling about his findings and about neo's will.
Also at times the servers will go hostile. When this happens PvP breaks out all over. So if your above lvl 10 and rival faction can attack you. There are also hostile servers and they are like that always if PvP is your main thing.
Heres two screen shots from the big war that took place last Sunday. I find these shots funny cause people were ganging up on these lvl 50 agents.

Well it seems the next live event has started. The events always catch me by surprise when they just break out.
Seems like something very weird is going on in the matrix. Lately there have been outbreaks of a weird illness in bluepills. Also Vampires and Lumpines are attacking all 3 groups. As it turns out they are retalliating because both groups leaders have been kidnapped. So they are attacking everyone till they come back.
Well time to jack back in and see what crazyness is going on.

Yeah, the timing on that was real cute. I had just started my character and talked to Rtificial, and the instant he showed up to meet with me for the first time vampires and lumpines started spawning all over the place and attacking everyone within range of hardlines. For a minute I thought it had something to do with some surprise mission of us meeting up because they occured at the exact same moment, it took a few minutes for me to realize this was widespread.
Then I realized I should check enemy levels before blindly charging since they were spawning based on the level of who was around, as being a 3 accidently fighting a 13 tends to get the former killed pretty quick. Way to go, me.
