I hate sand people too, but I am one. Not anyone specific and the personal level I'm pretty cool with alot of them but when it comes to representation on a world scale what do Arabs, or down to specifics (mine) Lebanese folk have to be proud of? Well the middle east is populated with a bunch of backwards assed countries, some dictatorships, some theocracies, some both. Even if you LIKE theocratic states Saudi Arabia is corrupt as all hell and Iran's hardliners scale pretty much everyone

Lebanon hasn't produced any public figures that I'd be proud of aside from Ralph Nader, and thats only until 2003 as well as a plethora of B artists, businessmen and poets.

The most racist person I ever met was an Arab, a Palestinian to be more exact, he wasn't, but his family was very into this culture (although I think they were Christian rather then Muslim). He was obviously Arab too and from the way he talked he fucking hated Arabs with a burning passion along with Asian people, Blacks and Hispanics. If you wern't white you would be subject to his racist comments, this included himself, even white people got a fair deal of it. Funny thing was that nobody cared when he called them a gook or a nigger, everyone just laughed, he was actually a pretty funny guy.
