ugh... don't. the animation was so awful.
Just make Jonas the best character ever and it will be the most amazing cartoon ever.
Why the hell do people take shots at Joystick Adventures? Did anyone even READ it or just go along with the wave like usual around this place?
We had some (not all, like EVERYTHING made) comics that were pretty funny, well written and I enjoyed them.
Oh well, your loss, not mine.
Anyways, I'm helping out aswell. In the episodes that I am writing, I am trying to focus on character traits. Getting across the importance that a certain character should at least follow a basic guidline to how the evolve. I think we will do well and I think a lot of people will like our style of humor.
Comics are much harder for me to get my humor across because it's only 3 panels and I can't rely on action or silly movements. Where in cartoons, you get all these things to work with, which for me is much much better.
We actually have a couple cartoons that we made in the recent years and most people like them. I'll try to get a couple links up in the next while.

My only advice is to not deliver jokes in an obvious manner. If you push a joke and it fails, the failure is very obvious to the viewer. If you just have a sort of natural feeling humorous moment and people don't find it funny, it'll be just like all of the other moments that aren't supposed to be funny, but it will also help establish a good atmosphere for the jokes that do work(if all of them fail, of course, it'll just come off as boring. But if you tell a lot of obvious bad jokes, it'll come off as stupid crap)
How much time are you going to have for strong characterization, exactly? How long will the cartoons be?

There wasn't 1 comic out of the 50 we made that you liked?
I find that hard to believe.
Mzo, you must like Home Movies then.
I do.Originally Posted by Cowutopia

I didn't like any entire comic, but the panels with a guy pooping a Yoshi egg and throwing it DID make me laugh.Originally Posted by pixelassassin

My Backloggery
Give me that, it was my idea (screw you pixel assassin).
Anyway, good points Rezo. That and the thing Mzo said are the shit I need to be focusing on. Speaking of which I best be off to storyboard this. I have my first script done. Right now we're thinking about doing full 22 minute episodes, but having them cut into acts. So 3 acts per episode and one full blown episode at the end.

Quick zephyrs blow, vexing daft Jim.
Somehow that doesn't really phase me much anymore. I like them, not all of them but I like a handful of them and that's good enough for me.
What's Hero?
It wasn't intended to phase you.Originally Posted by pixelassassin
